Good Eats: Le Bernardin

This is a restaurant that excites me in many ways. First, I can't wait to eat there and I would be honored to ever have the opportunity to work there. They will definitely be receiving a resume upon graduation.

Chicken Chasseur with Savory Waffles served with a White Wine Sauce (Gourmet Chicken & Waffles)

VERY good dish! "Demonstrated by Chef Jon-Paul Hutchins, Chef Instructor, Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. Try this classic dish -- chicken that melts in your mouth with a savory waffles and smooth sauce. And learn an innovative way to use your belgium waffle maker."

Learned how to fabricate chickens this mod. Actually like doing it and have been saving money by buying chickens and cutting them up for the fam. Here is a video by my chef instructor demonstrating how to do it properly.

My attempt at an Ace of Cakes special

For my son's 8th birthday, we decided to make our own cake. My wife and I are huge fans of Ace of Cakes so we decided to 'play Chef Duff' and attempt to make a fondant cake. We decided on a swimming pool since it was a swimming party. Check out the pics and let me know what you think!

Guest Chef's Original Recipe: Pumpkin Cheesecake Layer Pie

Hello everyone! I'm Christina, a current Pastry student with the owner of this blog, Marlon! Although he is a culinary student, we had 2 classes together. In class I was known for talking too much...and now I cant seem to find anything to say!...lol. When asked to say a little something about myself, I freeze up. So here is my best attempt at doing so!   I'm a mother of 2 wonderful children! They are my world and my inspiration! I've got a head full of ideas but unfathomably not the kitchen to try them out in. I love to bake. I also have a passion for culinary but find baking so therapeutic. There is nothing better then after a long day making something sweet and comforting. I'm sure if I keep digging though my computer, I'll find more recipe's tucked away! Here is my original recipe for Pumpkin Cheesecake Layer Pie. - Christina Lynn Schaefer
